For all the requirements,  satellite would be your best solution for
connectivity between all these sites. Satellite is scalable, does not
require so much wiring and you can settle for a bandwidth on demand
solution depending on the application.
For the application, a web based software as front end(with little
graphics) and a character emulation based application that can run as
backend will be good enough.
I use both solutions(satellite and Mobile) with varing
bandwidths(starting from 9.6k to 4M) and I'll recommend satellite
anytime.
