Hi,

Snmp Traffic Grapher:
http://leonidvm.chat.ru/
Drawing single OID's can be very helpful for per second graphs.

Ireasoning:
http://www.ireasoning.com/download.shtml
The download sections contains a freeware SNMP Mibbrowser

You can find lot's of tools on www.snmplink.org

Regards,
Henk

Onderwerp: Useful Software

Hey there everyone,

I'm a big lover of good software (especially if it's free!). Here is a list
of software that I use, which I think is good. What else do you chaps use ?

Ethereal
www.ethereal.com
Sniffer software. VERY good.
10/10

PuTTy
www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/
Telnet/SSH software. Good. Although I much prefer secureCRT, as it has
console support (but costs money).
7/10

VideoLAN
www.videolan.org
Media streaming. Unicast, multicast, ipv4, ipv6, audio or video.
9/10

ntop
www.ntop.org
Used to decode sniffer traces, like ethereal. I use it for pretty graphs
when I'm writing reports.
9/10

mrtg
people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/
Used for drawing graphs of any snmp instance. Throughput, cpu utilisation,
free mem, etc. Have a pretty web front end.
10/10

Trap Reciever
www.ncomtech.com/download.htm
I used this for test labs when I'v been fiddling with traps and rmon alarms.
8/10

tac-plus
Varies where you can get it from. Free version of tacacs+ for test labs or
smaller sites. Needs to be run on linux or unix.
10/10

Ping plotter (the free version)
www.pingplotter.com
I use this a lot, usually when a "slow network" is the problem....
8/10

PumpKIN
kin.klever.net/pumpkin/
This is really simple to use. Used it once and I never looked back.
8/10

Any other good free software that you folks use, windows or linux, then let
me know !!

LH
