Hi there,

I think I can simulate almost 80% of the labs from workbooks. The parts I
couldn't tried were:

- Catalyst (second hand 2x3550 cost around US$2500 I think)
- ISDN (I didn't bought any ISDN simulator but I think it should be ok if
you are heading for CCIE in coming year)
- You can't create sub-interface with different vlan tag on 2500 ethernet
interface
- ATM (I guess many of us can't have the luck to have that in home lab)

The fact is the cost to buy a bunch of used 2500s is really attractive when
you can use them to get you familar to different routing protocol, many IOS
features, multicast and of coz, physical network setup, etc.

I think it's not appropriate to say which product I have used to pass the
lab exam.
But instead, you should consider how much you can spend on training material
then pick the right one. I am pretty confident to say that the training
material packages from different vendors are all very mature and
informative. You always can learn new knowledge from them not only just for
the exam. but also for real life networking problem. So use your money
wisely is the most important thing.

Cheers~
Jacky
