If you put the frame-relay interface-dlci command in first, the router would
whine about it.
So IF you use both, the frame-relay map comes first. But think about what
they're used. At the very basic level, they tell the router "This dlci goes
here" which would make them redundant. However, the frame-relay map command
resolves L3 to L2 addresses, the other does not. The frame-relay
interface-dlci command can call a per-pvc map class, the other cannot.
So therefore, there's MAY be a need to use both, but order is important.
HTH,
Scott

exclusive??
Using the combination is the only way I know of to add things like end to
end keepalives to a DLCI on a mian interface.
Also it allows you to add per DLCI frame traffic shapping to a main
interface.
Remember the main interface is still multi point so it doesnt affect your
protocol mappings. On a point to point it implies send ebeything to the
other end of the DLCI as there is only 2 ends to a p2p interface.
