ISDN backup interface command

Hi All, I do not have access to the lab so I have simple question to you all. If I have physcial frame-relay interface with only one pvc active, does the "backup interface bri0/0" command work, or I have to use snap-shot routing if I'm not allowd to use dialer-watch or ip ospf demand-circuit?
