The distance command on EIGRP

Hi
 
The distance <AD> <source_ip> <wildcard_mask> <acl#> doesn't seem to
work with EIGRP.
 
For example, I want to decrease the AD for the external route
172.16.110.0/24 to 100 under EIGRP
 
!
router eigrp 100
 distance 100 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 1
!
!
access-list 1 permit 172.16.110.0 0.0.0.255
!
 
But the routing table still shows its AD is 170.
 
D EX 172.16.110.0/24 [170/512256] via 172.16.60.10, 00:17:43, Vlan60
 
What's wrong with this? Am I missing anything?
