Time to set the record straight! I've seen this done a couple of different ways and want to know which one is the accepted way when adjusting the update timer in RIP.

The ratio way:
update * 6 = invalid
update * 6 = hold down
update * 8 = flush

The + 60 second rule:
update * 6 = invalid
update * 6 = hold down
invalid + 60 = flush

The sum of holdown and invalid rule:
update * 6 = invalid
update * 6 = hold down
invalid + holdown = flush
