They will announce it if/when the change occurs...
As yourselff exactly what the differences are from the 3550 to 3750.  Then
ask yourself what of those differences really represent a good testable
topic?  Then ask yourself is it worth the money for you (or for Cisco,
remember they have to make changes globally) to make these upgrades...
I think you'll find the changes are at least 6 months to a year away.
Sooner (IMHO) you'll find the addition of some interesting new modules into
the various routers that you have.  The addition of an NM-16ESw, as an
example, would introduce new L2 complexity without rearranging too many
other things.
Just some food for thought, but anything that gets changed will be announced
plenty ahead of time.

Oh great - that's ominous.  Keeping up with the kit changes in my home lab
is beginning to get difficult and this isn't good news.
Anyone have a feel for how long between EOS and CCIE lab changes based upon
past observations?
