Just received this information last night from Cisco regarding CCIE lab
changes:
CCIE Central - UPDATE:
Updates to Storage Networking Lab and Other Exams
Cisco recently announced the final release of the new expert-level
Storage Networking certification lab exam. This new certification is the
fifth track to become available in the CCIE program.
To qualify for the CCIE Storage Networking lab exam, you must first pass
the written exam available from any Prometric or VUE testing center
worldwide. Currently, the lab exam is available in Research Triangle
Park, with periodic offerings in San Jose and Brussels. Schedule an exam
today by contacting a CCIE customer service representative at
ccie@cisco.com.

preconfigure network connectivity, and now focuses more on topics unique
to security, such as secure VPNs and Intrusion Detection Systems
