Redistribution into EIGRP

Does anyone know how to determine the metrics when redistribution into
EIGRP?

I see different kinds of setting like

Metric 1 1 1 1 1

Metric 10000 1000 100 1 1500

Metric 1500 100 255 1 1000

Or it is up to my choice.
