Mixing LDP and TDP

Hello all,

I am setting up a MPLS lab.
One of my "core" routers does not support LDP, and I can't upgrade it
(long story), but it does supports TDP.

I got two quesitons:

1. How different LDP from TDP is? If I learn MPLS with TDP will it be
almost the same as LDP?
2. Can i mix LDP and TDP in one MPLS "cloud"?
