12.0.7T has a lot of bugs and also many vulnerabilities. If you can get
by with just 12.2 IP only (not IP Plus), you can run that with 32 megs
ram and 8mb flash. In fact, I've gotten this version to run on the
2600s that shipped with 24 megs ram, although you might have to adjust
the 'iomem' setting to free up processor memory. I'd try that first.

Subject: MQC on version 12.0(7)T Router
Hi Group,
Is MQC configurable on 12.0(7)T Router ?
I got a p2p connectivity between R1(running 12.0(7)T )and R2(running
version
12.2(16).And I need to configure both adaptive shaping becn to throttle
back
the out put to the mincir level as well as queueing(LLQ) to prioritize
a
specific kind of traffic on the PVC. That sounds straight forward , yeah
?
Now as with the modular Qos , on R1 , when I tried to apply reservation
policy ( i.e. policy-map WAN-Data which has a child class-map which
Citrix
traffic was matched and bandwidth was being allocated with priority
command)
on to the frame-relay map-class with a service policy command, the
system
refused to take this command.
Adaptive shaping was fine on R1 , but system did not allowed me tied
down
the Queuing (reservation policy) on to the shaping map-class with
service
policy command. So I could only do the shaping config leaving out my
proposed LLQ for citrix traffic. And on R2 which is running on 12.2 (16)
, I
am having no problem and I can complete the proposed config with out any
errors. Now when I wonder on why R1 did not take the proposed config ,
the
only older code on R1 came to my mind. Other thank that every thing else
is
pretty much same and they both are 2600 series routers.
Unfortunately due to some reasons , I could not upgrade the memory on R1
to
12.2 (16) like R2 or newer versions.
Thus , is there any way I can make MQC work on R1 with the current code
?
If the new code on R1 is only way , I am afraid I got to achieve the
same
result with Legacy Qos of PQ ?
Cheers ,
David.
