IOS upgrade

All:

I am trying to upgrade our MSFC2 on a 6500 to the latest IOS code. What would be the easiest way to upgrade the code.

  1) copy the new image directly into bootflash: and modify the boot command to boot from the new image

  2) copy the new image into the pcmcia slot

In addition, when I am logon the MSFC2, I can't access the the PCMCIA slot.

Switch is running CatOS:
Sup is running IOS 12.x:

Below are the command that I use.

Router#> copy tftp sup-slot0:

Am I entering the wrong command?

How do I access the PCMCIA slot from the MSFC2?
