Ian,

My question concerns the existence of documentation regarding the following
commands:

add icmp
l3-src-addr 10.0.227.2
l3-dest-addr 10.0.210.5
l2-src-addr 0004.9b85.3400
l2-dest-addr 0050.7327.3000
rate 1750
data-length 10

I have never seen this before, only in the link I provided.

Hi Richard,

Not sure that I follow what you are looking for since the
link and info you presented is for SLA type monitoring using
ICMP and/or UDP to measure latency. Typically used for SLA
monitoring purposes. The application is built into the IOS
directly and allows you to measure the latency over your
links.

As to your question regarding some links on configuration
examples for setting up Cisco SAA, here is a pdf that should
help.

www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/120newft/120t/120t5
/saaoper.pdf

Thanks,

Ian
