Yes and no. It's a placement idea. Yes, you need to have the word
'fragments' somewhere. The catch is where the 'fragments' parameter
appears.

It COULD appear within the de-list command:

Emanon-R1(config)#frame-relay de-list 1 protocol ip ?
  fragments Classify fragmented IP packets
gt Identify packets greater than a specified size
list To specify an access list
lt Identify packets less than a specified size
tcp Classify TCP packets 'to' or 'from' the specified port
udp Classify UDP packets 'to' or 'from' the specified port
  <cr>

Which isn't allowed. :) So it must therefore exist somplace else. Notice
that the de-list command can call an ACL.

An ACL can use the fragments parameter and therefore the 'fragments'
parameter does not exist specifically on the de-list command line! Seems
entirely anal, but when it comes to the lab, there may be times where the
"normal" or logical place to configure something isn't allowed and therefore
you need to think through the available solutions to find an alternative.

But otherwise, I think it's the IPExpert and not InternetworkExpert labs...
Different groups, different labs!

Subject: Frame de bit without fragment

Hi,

Here is the require from IEWB lab 36:

From R2 any non-initial fragmented ICMP packets going out to VLAN7 will

have discard eligibility bit set on it. Do NOT use "fragments" keyword with
frame-relay de-group command.

If R4 detects PVC states other than invalid, active or inactive it will
inform 136.10.40.100.

After I read the solution download from IE, they still use fragments after
the frame-relay de-group, and not found any infom to 136.10.40.100
configuration.

So does this require impossible ?

Sincerely,

Tasuka
