I was looking at the FXS vconsole pots simulators ,
but had a few questions regarding its use. If I want
to take say a couple of fxo ports and Pri cards and be
able to simulate pstn , It seems pretty straighforward
for the Pri vconsole simulators , but they are calling
there pstn simulators FXS simulators ? Why would you
need this as your fxs cards are going into an analog
device such as pots set ? I would think you would call
it an fxo simulator , as say you have to Pri
interfaces on 3600/3700 series and you connect to pstn
pri simulator this will let you simulate digital
trunks , but say we also need to test fxo single line
trunks for 911 services such as typically deployed in
real world , does that fxs simulator provide this ??
Is anyone else using a setup like this at home , to be
able to test with both digital and analog trunks ???
