But do never assume that a MAC is given in canonical or non-canonical
format. If it is not explicitly wirtten, do ask the proctor. Like in ISIS,
where we are given the NET number, do ask if it is decimal or HEX,

Everything in DLSw is in Token Ring format (history). So when using ethernet
mac addresses in DLSw always convert them to Token Ring format.

Onderwerp: When Mac conversion is required?

Hi,

For dlsw config with only Ethernet, when should I
convert the cannonical to non-cannonical address?

Do I need to convert in

dlsw icanreach max-address

and

dmac-output-list?

Thanks.
