I don't think that the additional cost is justified.
Yes, it is important to know the material, but not so
much that you have to have two 3550s in a home lab.
Yes, they are a significant part of the exam, but they
are not critical enough that you need them. As long
as you understand how to configure them (read the
config guide all the way through at least twice ), you
shouldn't have any problem with the 3550s in the lab.
