I get alarm creation failure with a bad OID: Try the command below, which
works for me. I believe you will only have access to the univercd portion
of the CD. There are some examples there, but I doubt there is a full OID
reference. I find I will get the "alarm creation failure" if the OID is not
perfect.

rmon alarm 1 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.5.1 50 absolute rising-threshold 10
1 fall 4
