   You can configure a layer three interface, indirectly:

C3745(config-if)#inter fa 2/0
C3745(config-if)#switchport access vlan 100
C3745(config-if)#inter vlan 100
C3745(config-if)#ip add 100.1.1.1 255.0.0.0
