Hello all,
When we use FR:
1. We do NOT have to specify DLCI is the connection is Point-to-Point
subinterface or if it's physicaltophysical, correct?
2. We do NOT have to specify FR-map and Local DLCI at the same physical
interface, either one is sufficient, correct?
3. We do NOT have to specify a map for local DLCI, for example, if I have a
serial0 interface with DLCI 100, do I need a map statement for the DLCI to
reference the serial interface?
4. frame-relay map ip 10.0.1.1 300 broadcast : I'm still confused on the
broadcast option. When should we use it, and what's the implication of
failing to use it?
5. NSSA is configured as the middle-guy for OSPF to non-OSPF or another AS
network, correct? If so, can we just do without NSSA and use another OSPF
network, and perform redistribution/summarization at the ASBRs? What is the
rationale behind NSSA, in such that it is better than other solutions?
6. By specifying cost to neighbor (in both Broadcast and Non-B), does it
mean to choose the most preferred path for the packets forwarding? If I
have a few neighbors and I specify different costs, will the best cost
neighbor ALWAYS gets the packets?
7. I have a router(Call it A) connected to two other routers (B & C) via FR
point to multipoint (A is the hub). I configured DIFFERENT clockrate on
both B and C (not A). I thought it will not work, but it did!! What am I
missing here?
There are just too many config options poured out by different sources,
just trying o sync myself with the correct information. Thanks a lot!!!!
Appreciate any help!!
