Hello
The main difference between Catalyst 2950 and Catalyst 2955 Series is
the fact that the Cisco Catalyst 2955 are industrial grade switches.
They are destined to work in harsh environment, like industrial.
As for the difference between 3550 and 2950 - 3550 can run some
routing protocols like RIP, OSPF with EMI Image. Catalyst 2950 can't do
it.

since i am back to work again on the CCIE voice track ..im in the
process of building my voice home lab ..when i passed the R&S the cat
was 5k.
now iam not sure if 3550 and the 2950/2955 are equivlanet from the S/W
point of view ..can anyone confirm this if any differences ..like what
??
so i may save some money :))
