Vazman,
It sounds like your trying to do a reverse telnet session through a console server, from your example it looks as though your console server is addressed 1.1.1.1 and the piece of equiptment is on port 5 of the console server......is this correct

if this is so you can either set up a ip host statement on the console server like

ip host R1 3005 1.1.1.1

R1 = the external router you want to conect to
3005 = the port the external router is connected to on the console server
1.1.1.1 = either the ip address of the console server router, or its loopback address

i would think that your trying to use maybe a 2509 or 2511 cisco

hope this helps, if I misunderstood your question then disregard

Subject: Telnet at high port

Hi all,

How do you configure a router to accept telnet sessions at a port other than
default. So for example, from the client I should be able to use "Telnet
1.1.1.1 3005". The destination router has to be configured for listening to
port
3005 right?

Thanks in advance.
