Right.

But if you have the DHCP server return a gateway address that is the
virtual address of a HSRP or VRRP group, you indirectly solve the
gateway failure problem.

With HSRP, you don't need the router discovery function of IRDP,
because things will appear as one router. Cisco is introducing some
load-sharing features within groups, but that doesn't change the
basic strategy.
