Though this is a helpful new feature but be careful, this feature was added
in 12.2 (8) and since the lab IOS version is 12.1 I would hazard to bet that
this feature wouldn't be available in the lab....make sure you are familiar
with the older ways befitting the IOS version for the lab.

Actually, the network types for ISIS are P2P and Broadcast. There is also a
new feature that has been added that gives you the ability to change a
broadcast network type to P2P. See following link for more information:

IS-IS only has two network types: p-p and mp, and
there is no command like ospf to change the network
type, it's all pre-defined.

For FR main interface, the network type is mp, so if
the other end use sub-int, since its is-is type must
be mp, it must use mp sub-int, even it only has one
DLCI.

For is-is over FR, also you need to configure
'frame-relay map clns dlci# broadcast'
