3550- vlans allow on trunk

I have a question about the allowed vlan (default status) on trunks. The
Doc CD states
"The default for all VLAN lists is to include all VLANs."

Then I goto and enter the following on the switch:

3550-2(config)#int port-channel 2
3550-2(config-if)#switchport trunk allowed vlan all
(which is the default as it doesn't show in the config:

!
interface Port-channel2
switchport trunk encapsulation isl
switchport mode trunk
no ip address
!

But this output seems to contradict that:

3550-2#sh int port-channel 2 trunk

Port Mode Encapsulation Status Native vlan
Po2 on isl not-trunking 0

Port Vlans allowed on trunk
Po2 none

Port Vlans allowed and active in management domain
Po2 none

Port Vlans in spanning tree forwarding state and not pruned
Po2 none

What is the deal? I have 10 vlans created. Shouldn't they be listed? The
solution is similar as well.
