I looked in the archive and did not see anything closely relating to what I am experiencing.
In the midst of configuring my lab, a router that I am not currently working on will hang. I still receive log messages, but the console prompt disappears. I would normally relate this to high CPU utilization, but I only had frame-relay configured at the time and had not begun building anything on top of it. When I reboot, the router will complete the boot process, but will not give me a prompt. When I boot the router ignoring NVRAM, the prompt comes back. This happened on all my routers connecting to the frame relay switch (2522), three 2600s and one 2501. I had completed the OSPF configuration on one router and when I went to configure its neighbor, the router was hung. While I worked on that router, the other neighboring routers hung. Again, the recovery process was the same.
Has anyone seen this before? Or have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff Colburn
