Hi all,
I have tried to summarize an internal network peered to a backbone router
with with distribute lists.
For example,
R4(config)#router rip
R4(config-router)#version 2
R4(config-router)#redistribute eigrp 5 metric 1
R4(config-router)#network 150.100.0.0
R4(config-router)#distribute-list 20 out Ethernet0
R4(config-router)#distribute-list 10 in Ethernet0
R4(config-router)#no auto-summary
R4(config)#access-list 10 permit 194.5.0.0 0.0.254.255 log
R4(config)#access-list 20 permit 172.16.0.0 0.0.0.0 log
*** The networks in eigrp are 172.16.1 thru 16.0/24 ***
I am trying to only advertise the summarized route to the backbone (/16).
I can make this work when the interface to the backbone is configured with
"R4(config-if)#ip rip send version 1"
Any idea on how to make this work with V2 only?
TIA
