Subject: pinging switch

Hi All,

I can ping my 3550 on a vlan when it is in L2 mode, but when I enable
"ip
routing" it doesn't seem to be working. Is this normal behavior?

For instance, if I have have Fa0/2 in vlan 2, assign an IP Address of
22.2.2.2/24 to it, and don't have "ip routing" enabled, I can ping it
from a
host connected to Fa0/2 with ip add 22.2.2.1/24. But when I enable "ip
routing" if fails.

Any help?

Thanks,

Nate
