What kind of image 3550 will be having for the Lab? Native IOS or CatOS ?

Cisco says the following, "In conjunction with the recent change to the
Catalyst 3550,
CCIE labs worldwide employ v12.1 using the Enhanced Multilayer Image."
What does this mean?
