I also recommend Netmaster (NMC-1) class highly, but I would make one slight
clarification. At least when I took it this June, we did not really build
one big cohesive scenario over the first four days. That is close, but we
ripped out the internal routing protocol used at first (OSPF), and replaced
it with another (ISIS) when we were executing the IPSEC and ISIS material
together. I believe there may have been other instances where we changed the
internal routing protocol in those four days.

I am making a picky point, perhaps, but we did not build one big, complex,
scenario over four days. The middle three days involved doing a whole bunch
of mini-scenarios focusing on the details of individual technologies. There
was a good bit of ripping out and replacing elements. The overall topology
and IP addressing stayed roughly constant, though, so it has something in
common with building one big lab scenario.

To get the most benefit from the class, you should redo as much of the
material as you can in your home lab. The class moves fast, so you can pick
up lessons the second time through that you did not really digest the first
time through, and reinforce the lessons you did learn. Okay, this is a
ridiculously obvious point, but it really helped me to rework the material
thoroughly.
