Try mcaster, which can be downloaded from
http://www.southplainscollege.edu/pub/win95/mcaster.zip. This program
simulates both source and client and sends configurable messages
periodically to a specified m-cast address. I does tend to abend on me
occassionally, however.

A bit more fun can be had from
http://www-mice.cs.ucl.ac.uk/multimedia/software/. This has all sorts of
toys. you might try wbd for a basic whiteboard test. This pgm seems to
require you to execute from the command line, specifying the m-cast address
as an argument. Documentation is non-existant.

Subject: Multicast Test software

Hi group,
Can someone recommend a trial software to test Multicast configuration
for lab prep purposes?
Preferably one that's easier to work with than Cisco's IPTV. Thanks.
