Anyone who's paid for the lab out of their own pocket (several times for a lot
of us) wouldn't consider $1250 'little'. With the amount of stress one goes
through preparing and making the trip to take the lab, Cisco should be able to
provide a lab, for something really that amounts to a power failure. You can
bet that if the tables were turned, and Cisco was waiting on some ASICs from a
3rd party, they be furious if that 3rd party was disabled for a week because
of no power. I'm just hoping that they make it up to the people who got their
labs cancelled. Just my .02...

It cost us a whole lot more to run the building all day than the lab makes
on
what little they charge for the exam....

I guess they didn't think of a power generator. Withthe amount of money the

I think Cisco should refund your money and giveyou a free shot at thelab next
week. You've got to figure betweenairfares, time off from work, and hotels,
this delay has cost you guys plenty. Good luck.Chuck ChurchCCIE #8776, MCNE,

rescheduling if I were you. Mylab was scheduled forlastThursday but was
cancelled due the power failure. Two other candidateswereat the door at 7:30AM
along with me in the midstof the ice-storm butnobodyfrom Cisco showed up. At
around 8:00AM one of theCCIE program peoplecameby and told us that the lab was
cancelled and thatwe would beaccommodatedon Friday. Apparently Cisco has
generators forsome of the otherbuildingsin the campus but not the lab
building. I was atthe door at 7:30AM onFriday but the building was still dark.
I decidedto stay back to make anattempt on Saturday. Late Friday, I got a
phonecall from one of the CCIEprogram administrators saying the power may not
beback till Monday orTuesday. That is when I decided to give up andreturn home
to New Jersey.Ihave asked Cisco to reschedule me for anothertime. The RTP area
was hitpretty bad by all the falling pine trees. I wastold that the
powercompanies were focusing on getting power back tothe homes before
thecommercial establishments.Andy Fernandes-----Original Message-----From:
