Hai group ,
Scenario 1 :
R1eo----ospf-------eoR2----Loopbacks 40.40.40.1 /24 and 40.40.41.1
/24
r1 and r2 running ospf area 0
and r2 loopbacks running eigrp as 1
and i am doing a summary at r2s ether 0 ip summary ei 1 40.40.0.0
255.255.0.0
autosummary disabled under eigrp
on R2 i am redistributing eigrp and ospf on r1 i expected only the summary
routes but i am getting summary and specific routes is this a normal
behavior or i am missing some thing
Scenario 2 :
R1-eo---ospf-----eor2eo---eigrp1----e0r3---loopbacks 40.40.40.1 /24
and 40.40.41.1 /24
if i do the same thing i am getting only summary route under r2 and ofcourse
when i redistribute i am getting only summary route on r2 ..
Scenario 3 :
r1--so----rip-----s0--r2eo-----ei1-----eor3----loopbacks 40.40.40.1
/24 and 40.40.41.1 /24 and 220.1.1.1 /24 and 220.1.2.1 /24
if i do summary of 40.40.0.0 /16 and 220.1.2.1 /16 under r3 i am not
getting anything ( i was expecting a summarzied route on classfull boundry
on r1 atleast )
on r1 when i remove i am getting all specfic routees
But i read in some the cisco document , eigrp will do autosummary by
default only for distance vector routing protocols , which cannot be
disabled . Why is this behavior for link state protocol . Can somebody throw
some light . i am confused
warm regs
