Well I Peer with UUNET, I work for Sprintlink. And when i called thier
senior Engineers, i was told they had routing issue, so they loaded new
IOS, remember UUNET has Cisco and Juniper routers, so they worked head
to head with cisco and juniper, If you noticed by tracing UUNET IP,
the latency does not start on the peering point more then within thier
Network. the trace was jumping 30ms to 1900ms. it was a MESS.... I
plan to find out what happen Monday....

This is just plain old curiousity - anyone in the group work with
Worldcom? They had a major network outage today in the US, with their
UUNET NOC. I heard the public versions of what happened, and wondered
what the real story was. One story said it was something about a route
table, another said that a software upload caused it. This is such an
amazing group of people, so I figure that if anybody know the truth, it
would be someone here!
