Hello:
Today, I was half way on doing a scenario, and one of the tasks require
me to redistribute EIGRP routes into OSPF, via both External Type 1 &
Type 2. All Type 1 routes have been assigned with a cost of 100, while
200 for all Type 2 routes.
router ospf 2
log-adjacency-changes
redistribute eigrp 10 metric 66 subnets tag 555 route-map haha
network 2.2.2.2 0.0.0.0 area 0
network 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.3 area 0
network 199.1.1.0 0.0.0.255 area 7
route-map haha permit 10
match ip address 1
set metric 200
set tag 1
!
route-map haha permit 20
set metric 100
set metric-type type-1
set tag 2
One funny thing is that on the one of the internal routers, I noticed
that the OSPF cost for the E1 routes has changed to 164, but on it's
OSPF database, the metric stays as 100!!! Is this correct? I would
assume that both of them would be 164, or 100??? Any help ? I am a
rookie.

As for the OSPF database, the metric stays as 100!!!
