3550 flash file systerm and upgrading code

There is lot I still must learn about using the orginal archive command, which
is how Cisco says to upgrade the code. What happend to the copy tftp flash?
The commands are still on the box, but they don't work, and when you go to the
CCO pages they only show using the archive command.. If anyone firgures out
the file system please share it.. The group will benefit...
