I have a curious situation...
TOPO:
---FRAME---RB
| |
other---RA--- -| ethernet
routers | |
----FRAME--RC
All routers in OSPF process 1
RA has a frame multipoint interface with PVCs to both RB and RC.
RB and RC are connected via ethernet segment
The frame cloud joining RA,RB,and RC is area 0
The ethernet between RB and RC is in area 1
Router A is attached to 2 other routers from which it is receiving routes.
The issue is this:
Router B is not installing the routes it learns from Router A in the route
table although the exist in the OSPF database. The OSPF database shows LSAs
for all the routes from BOTH RA and RC. I have FULL ospf adjacencies with
both RA and RC. If I shut the frame PVC between RA and RB then the routes
learned from RC will go into the route table as expected. If I bring the
interface back up the routes are removed.
The frame network is set up with network type non-broadcast with configured
neighbors. RA is set to highest priority and both RB and RC show RA as the
DR.
Am I having a brain meltdown or is this unusual. I've never seen OSPF
routes in the database that refused to show up in the route table. I've
seen that with BGP...haven't we all....but not with OSPF.
