Hi all,
If an isdn connection is always between a BRI and a PRI, and ppp multilink is
configed on both ends, the most bandwidth that can be used is 128k or 2
b-channels.
But, what if it's possible for the connection to be between to PRI's. Is
there a way to limit how many b-channels will be brought up?
For example, let's say that ISDN is provisioned to back up F/R cir's and if
the cir is 128k or less, a BRI is provisioned and if the cir is > 128k, a PRI
is provisioned. And, the objective is to provide the same bandwidth with ISDN
as is used with F/R. So, where the cir = 256k, you want isdn to use up to
but no more than 4 b-channels. How can this be done?
On a related topic, is there a way to configure isdn so that it can be used
to augment Frame-Relay bandwidth? If so, how would that be done?
Thanks, Jim
