I used one of these briefly and found it easist to run 11.2 booted via a
tftp server. It makes the box much more user freindly in many ways. The
only downside is when rebooting you have to make sure your tftp server and
connections are up. I used a 7500 as the server and dedicated a token ring
connection between the 2 just for booting.

Subject: need help with old AGS+

Hi,

I'm trying to configure an AGS+ as a frame relay switch without much
success.
It's running version 9.1 and I can't figure out how to change the serial
interfaces from DTE to DCE. Putting in the clockrate command doesn't work.

I get a message that "setting clockrate on a DTE" isn't allowed. And, the
documentation for version 9.1 doesn't say anything about about this or
configuring this router as a frame relay switch.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advanced.

Jim
