If AGS+ works the same way as other routers, type of serial
interface (DTE vs DCE) is determined by type of serial cable
(in AGS maybe type of applique).

On the other hand, to successfully configure FR switching,
interfaces on FR switch don't necessarily need to be DCE.

What is important is, that interfaces will be configured
as "frame-rely intf-type dce" and that you will enable
"frame-relay switching" in global config.

Please see snippet from my config as an example:

frame-relay switching
!
interface Serial0
 no ip address
 encapsulation frame-relay
 frame-relay lmi-type ansi
 frame-relay intf-type dce
 frame-relay route 201 interface Serial1 102
!

Hope this helps,

Przemek
