Whoa!
Flaming soapbox!
I'll tell you this much... IP Telephony is a very big piece of Cisco's
future... Just ask any Cisco employee.
With this in mind, you'll probably find more & more QoS and voice on the lab
as time goes on since those 2 items go hand-in-hand.
Just my opinion.
Raymond

<soapbox>
First of all, I think you guys have way crossed the NDA line.
Second, suck it up and deal with it. The CCIE exam is designed to show
whether you have "expert-level" grasp of the topics at hand. If you sit
here and whine about the fact that you had more point on one section
than another, if nothing else, it clearly demonstrates not having proper
grasp of the topics.
Maybe you're luckier than some poor guy who got a more heinous OSPF
section who would have LOVED to get more voice stuff.
I dunno. In the end, you either know it or you don't. Feeling cheated
by the system isn't going to accomplish anything. Were you right on the
border of passing? If you were, and depending on what you messed up,
I'd say it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Will voice prevent you from
passing? Well, perhaps. But I guess that makes it an important topic
going forward!
Is the goal here to pass the exam, or sit around and have a bitch
session about why we didn't pass? Go find a mirror. It will accomplish
two things. First, letting you know there's someone who truly
empathizes with you, and second, letting you know who is ultimately to
blame.
Get on with it, study more voice and pass it next time!

Hi Josh,
I thougt the way you think on the VoIP compared to OSPF. I just realized
now in your post that Cisco is still correct. They did say VOICE WILL
NOT BE GIVEN THE SAME WEIGHT AS CORE TOPICS AS OSPF OR BGP.
They gave you 7 points for OSPF and 9 for VoIP. This is true with their
above statement. If they have given you 7 points for VoIP and 9 points
for OSPF. This is also true with their statement. However, if 7 points
for OSPF and 7 points for VoIP OR 9 for VoIP and 9 for OSPF; then we can
get them. Right?
Cheer up we have a long ride......
Chris
