Catalyst suggestions for post October CCIE test

   Hello,

 I am looking to add another Catalyst to my CCIE lab and would like
some suggestions.I plan on taking the test post October so buying a 5000
will be pointless. I already have a 2900XL and would like something comparable
to
the 3550 that will soon be added to the test. The 3550 are a little bit pricey
so is
there a Catalyst that I can use that is comparable in CLI and setup ? Also I
would prefer it to have a serial module as well.
