congratz, and thanks for your very practical advice. I get this sneaky
suspicion many folks on the list overestimate the actual technical
difficulty of the exam, but underestimate the psychological aspects. Maybe
it's because we're a bunch of macho techies, and all that soft stuff is for
wusses, eh? :-)

Maintaining a very high level of concentration for a whole day, in a
foreign environment, under heavy time pressure, high stakes, etc. is simply
something we don't do very often. Even during those all-nighter critical
network upgrades/outages, we know the network, and we are usually not alone
in the cruncher. My former CCIE boss keeps advising me "zees ees like
training for a marathonne -- focus and pace are zee keys" (he's very French ;-)

I guess I'll know about my suspicions' accuracy in 3 weeks :-)
