They checked mine as well... However, we had a girl that did not bring any
ID. It was a weekend lab and the part-time proctor kinda stumbled around not
really knowing what to do.. The girl that forgot the ID did offer to go back
to the hotel to get it...

Both of my trips to RTP, Feb 2001 and Feb 2002, required a photo id to enter
the lab. I could tell on the first trip they were just starting to do this,
and that they didn't want to appear all official and such, but they
recognized the need and did it anyway.
