Actaully if "ip default-network" command is used then that network should be
present in the routing table and should be classful like 200.200.200.0 or
172.16.0.0 or 10.0.0.0
If that route is not on the classfull then IOS will install a static route
in the routing table like if u have 172.16.8.0 and "ip default-network" is
issued then IOS will do something like "ip route 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0
x.x.x.x "
now u will have a candidate route with * .
Also give sometime to route to generate this as candidate route is installed
in IGRP a little slow or use the command "timer basic 5 10 10 10" on all the
igrp router to accelerate it .
