I have a scenario whereby I need to match only MAC Addrs for CAR.
It is fairly straight-forward issue involving a number of devices that need to
be limited in what amount of bw they can use. I can't do it via IP Addr as we u
se DHCP, and then we would have to reserve addrs for them, and with over 300 de
vices outthere, that would virtually be the same as setting them to static IPs.
Also using the MAC addrs allows more flexibility in case one breaks and gets s
wapped out, we don't need to worry about more admin.
They are all Wyse Terminals, which all have the same first 6 hex numbers of the
ir MACs : 0080.64xx.xxxx
Would the mask for this scenario be: permit 0080.6400.0000 0000.00ff.ffff
This look right, well, would be for an ip acl, but not too sure?
Any help?
