John is right. To verify that you entered them right, after you enter them
and no shut the interface (make sure you enter them before you no shut the
interface) type in sho isdn stat.
You should see something like this:
att-madison-r1#sho isdn stat

dsl 0, interface ISDN Switchtype = basic-ni

Endpoint ID Info: epsf = 0, usid = 1, tid = 1
TEI 123, ces = 2, state = 6(not initialized)
spid2 configured, no LDN, spid2 sent, spid2 NOT valid
Layer 3 Status:
0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
Active dsl 0 CCBs = 0
The Free Channel Mask: 0x80000003
Total Allocated ISDN CCBs = 0
I entered spid1 correctly and spid2 wrong. You can see that is says one is
valid and two is not. Look for both being valid and you know you are OK.

If you're given spids for R2, then you put them on R2. The
spids have nothing to do with the destination you're calling.
They are identifiers used between the router and the ISDN
switch.
