Do you mean w/o "multiring all" at R2, it don't work ? It router 2 setup with "
 no ip routing" ?

About your 2nd query, token ring may still have problem with IP(L3) mutlicast i
n mac address(L2) as it may use broadcast instad of multicast. OSPF using IP mu
lticast address.

The interface paramaters such as mtu and others must agree on OSPF to form neig
h.

Do debug at both routers and see what they send out on the interfaces...
Verify all this and you may need to change some of these parameters of network
type to make it work...

Hi Parry,
It worked with multiring on R2. Thankyou very much.
Looks like broadcast mesgs are not sent over SR/TLB.
R1 & R3 are not able to form OSPF neighbor
relationship. Is this the right behaviour?

Thanks,
Jack
