when do we use the below commands and why?

bgp bestpath compare-routerid
bgp always-compare-med
bgp deterministic med
bgp bestpath as-path ignore
bgp bestpath med confed

I read through the CCO many times, but i didn't get a clear idea. so can any
body good in BGP explain more?
